Park Royal landlords fined

A couple of rogue landlords have been ordered to pay nearly £30,000 for allowing their tenants to live in squalid and dangerous conditions.

Das Lal and Hussein Ibrahim, who own and manage five privately rented bedsits in Park Avenue, Park Royal, allowed their tenants to live with rat infestations as well as weeks of problems with their hot water, heating and electricity supply.

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an incident which left a man with knife wounds in Acton at the beginning of the year.

A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old from West London were arrested but police are still appealing for information.


A man was stabbed twice in his chest on Thursday morning as he got into his car after scraping snow from the windscreen.

The 36-year-old Asian man walked to his car in Shakespeare Road, Acton, just after 7am and noticed a man near him as he was getting into his car.

A pensioner was found with injuries to his face after an intruder broke into his house in St Anne's Gardens in Park Royal last week.

A member of the public called the police after hearing loud noises and seeing signs of forced entry to the home at 11:35pm on Wednesday September 30.

More than a dozen people have written opposing an application to sell alcohol at a shop in Acton which is located within a high crime area.

Owner of Mini Biedronka at 3 Horn Lane, Agnieszka Pomijan, has applied for a new licence to sell alcohol off the premises between 8am and 9pm Monday to Saturday and 10am till 5pm on Sundays.

Police have linked a double stabbing which happened in Acton on Tuesday 7 July.

Acton Youth Dispersal

Teenagers in the Acton area will be sent home after dark following complaints of gang intimidation and harassment.

Youngsters under 16 found roaming the streets around Savoy Circus and Old Oak Common Lane between 9pm and 6am could be sent home or to a place of safety if they are not accompanied by an adult over 18-years of age.

Three teenagers have been charged after stones were thrown at Central Line trains between East Acton and White City in April.

Acton Man Murder Charge

A man is due to appear before the Old Bailey charged with the murder of Garry Frater on Saturday May 30.

A former special constable is due to be sentenced for assaulting a young girl.
