Guiness world record attempt in acton

People are being urged to help a charity break a world record in the New Year.

Scope, with a store at 88 High Street, Acton, are asking people to donate old mobile phones during the week of Friday 8 January to Friday 15 to help support their work with disabled people.

Scope has teamed up with Redeem Plc, a recycling company, in the hope of breaking the Guinness World record for collecting the greatest number of used phones in just one week.

Handsets can be donated at the counter and for every phone, a cash donation will be received by the charity.
