Charity ballet night in Acton
Children put on their tutus and danced among paintings displayed on stage as part of an awards evening and charity fund-raiser.
More than 100 pupils of the Angela Grant School of Dance based at the Park Club and St Dunstan's Church in Acton performed in front of their parents and helped raise £600 for the Padua Charitable Fund helping the homeless in the Philippines.
Scores of families came to watch the ballet show which saw children of mixed ages dance around 15 famous imitation paintings, including Matisse, Picasso and Van Gogh.
Angela Grant, who runs the dance school, said: "The school opened in January but we put on our first show in December.
"Each dance was inspired by the paintings and it is brilliant for the children to have an opportunity on stage.
"Everyone performed and it wasn't just the best dancers; everyone had their moment to shine and as part of their training, they do this so children and parents can see how the school works, see other dancers, the older pupils perform and what the younger ones can become in a few year's time.
"They all looked so fantastic and danced really well and we were able to award the pupils with trophies."
