Posted by Paloma Kubiak on Oct 28, 09 01:04 PM in Good Causes

Age Concern Ealing in partnership with EON are offering free energy saving tips for older people in the borough.

The EnergyRight Campaign will bring tips on saving money on energy bills, advice on winter fuel allowance payments and the Government's warm front grants.

Denyse Whillier Executive of Age Concern Ealing, said: "We're hoping the EnergyRight events will help us to reach even more people in the local community and help them to prepare for the colder months ahead.

"Many people will be worried about heating their homes this winter and this is where our EnergyRight week will be able to make a really big difference.

"We look forward to offering lots of useful energy advice and support."

EnergyRight events include:

Thursday 29th October, Acton Day Centre, Michael Flanders Centre, Church Rd, Acton W3 8PP from 11.00am to 3.00pm - useful energy advice and support; meet members from local fire service and the Energy Officer from Ealing Council. Free cup of tea and refreshments in the Café.
