Topping Out Ceremony In Acton

A 'topping out' ceremony was held on Friday to mark the completion of building work to more than 100 new homes as part of the South Acton Estate regeneration works.

Ealing Council with Catalyst Housing and Inspace Partnerships celebrated as work to the south of Bollo Bridge Road is one step closer to completion.

A total of 129 new build homes for rent or shared ownership will be developed in this phase to be completed by spring 2010 and a further 125 should be completed by 2012.

Ealing Council's Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Will Brooks, said: "It's fantastic to see the transformation at the South Acton Estate.

"The improvements will deliver not just high-quality homes for residents, but also create safer, more attractive neighbourhoods that will benefit the broader Acton community."

The council is currently working with residents to choose a developer partner to complete the regeneration of the estate.
