The Financial Secretary to the Treasury visited South Acton Children's Centre on Thursday July 23 to launch the London Child Poverty Awards 2009.

Stephen Timms came to the centre to highlight the important work being undertaken to improve lives for families in London.

The Minister is calling for nominations for The London Child Poverty Awards, rewarding organisations and individuals who are working to help the poorest families in the capital.
