Friends of Acton Baths

More than 50 people attended the Friends of Acton Baths meeting to discuss Acton Town Regeneration plans.

Jonathan Kirby, the Ealing Council officer responsible for developing any future swimming facilities in Acton, went through the options and problems concerning the regeneration of Acton Baths.

The Director of the Victorian Society, Ian Dungavell, told the meeting to continue fighting plans to save the baths as the period building 'serves invaluable social, fitness and sporting purposes'.

A majority voted to keep the baths and wanted a 32-metre and 21-metre length pool instead of the 25metre and 16-metre learner pool.

Another public meeting is scheduled in September and for more information, email Friendsbaths@aol.com
