Acton Lady Celebrates 100th Birthday
A day of celebration took place at a care home in Acton to mark a special lady's 100th birthday.
More than 40 staff and residents of Sycamore Lodge Care home in Edgecote Close came together to wish Violet Kushner a very happy 100th birthday on Thursday July 2.
Mrs Kushner received two telegrams, one from the Queen and the other from the Department of Work and Pensions and these were framed and presented to her by care home manager, Campion Mead.
Venice Williams, the activity co-ordinator said: "We had a party for Violet and she also had a second party on the weekend when her family came to see her from far away.
"Violet had three cakes, one for each of the numbers making up 100 and she had a lovely day.
"She really enjoyed herself and it was great that we could all come together to mark her special day."
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos
