Recycling at Acton Library

Old phones and spectacles can be donated to charity following the installation of recycling bins at four libraries.

The Rotary Club of Hanwell and Northfields celebrated World Environment Day on June 5 by launching the initiative with bins at Acton, Ealing Central, Greenford and Southall libraries.

Mobile phones and chargers will be sent to Water Aid to fund and provide safe drinking water in developing countries, glasses to Vision Aid Overseas and cartridges and stamps sent to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
