Sites for turning used trees into compost will be set up in Acton after Christmas.

Residents can recycle their trees throughout January at Acton Green Common and Acton Park, where Ealing Council workers will collect and shred them.

Winners have been announced for the window dressing competition as part of Acton Christmas Fair, held earlier this year.

A car park fire which was started before midnight on Sunday is being treated as suspicious by the police.

Improvised nativity for Acton

Children are invited to dress up and join in an improvised nativity play
which will be staged in Acton on December 20.

No rehearsals are planned for the freeform production, which will be held
outside St Mary's in The Mount at 1pm.

A Christmas pantomime is able to go ahead after securing much needed funding.

A specialist school in Acton is being hailed as a multicultural beacon
after beating hundreds of others to a national prize.

The Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls won a gold award and was named the
overall winner in cultural diversity at the national conference of the
Specialist Schools and Academies Trust in November.
