Crossing planned for Acton danger spot

A new pedestrian crossing could be in the pipeline for a busy junction in Acton town centre.

Ealing Council officers are looking into options for the junction of Uxbridge Road and Gunnersbury Lane, next to the Red Lion and Pineapple pub.

An initial scheme was deemed to be too complex by ward councillors, who were concerned that it would add to congestion problems at the junction of Bollo Lane and Gunnersbury Lane next to Acton Town Tube.

Residents at South Acton Ward Forum on Monday were told officers are now working on a simpler alternative.
