Getting ready to take some 30,000 calls for university

Posted by Graham Spence on Sep 10, 08 12:59 PM in Schools/colleges

A team of students and staff are manning a special hotline to help potential students find a place at university.

The clearing hotline helps students find a place if they do not get the grades for their original choice, and helps late applicants find a place on a course.

The students and staff from Thames Valley University,in St Mary's Road, Ealing will be offering advice until the start of term.

Christine Marchant, admissions manager, said: "Around 30,000 students gain their places at university through clearing, so don't panic if you find out that your grades aren't what you predicted and your university application is rejected."

The hotline is on 0800 036 8888 and select 'option 1.'
