ARTISTIC residents are being asked to play their part in brightening up Acton.

As part of the £500,000 town centre improvement scheme, backed by the Mayor of London's Outer London fund and Ealing Council, Acton Community Forum is working with local residents and community groups to get involved in the Love Acton campaign.

Workers flee fire at bakery

WORKERS were forced to flee a bakery after a blaze broke out in the early hours of this morning.

RESIDENTS are being asked for their views on lighting up a park used as a shortcut by many on their way to catch the tube or buses.

Jay Ashley, 22, was last seen at his home address in Beaumaris Tower, Park Road North. He went out at around 6pm and has not been seen since.

PEOPLE interested in the future of Acton are reminded not to miss the chance to have their say on a programme of major improvements.

A new pavilion is planned for a playing fields to give a boost to clubs and sports fans in the area.
